Description: Video 1 for a paper titled ‘Anatomy of the Pubovisceral Muscle Origin: Macroscopic and Microscopic Findings Within the Injury Zone’ (published in the Neurourology and Urodynamics in 2014). This video is showing that, when pelvic floor stretch similar to that occurring late in vaginal birth is applied, tension is distributed along the pubovisceral muscle attachment to the pelvis and concentrated at the lateral margin in the region of the levator arch.
