Description: William “Bill” Harwood, who grew up in Grand Forks, made a significant donation to the UND Department of Music on March 11, 2015, in honor of several faculty members who influenced him. nHarwood credits the following for providing the main impetus for this gift: A rich home life in music, up to five hours of music a day at Central High, and the UND faculty challenging him to do his best. He has continued to build on this legacy, the deep music heritage in Grand Forks and the Upper Midwest,
