Description: Freshman year engineering project at UMass Amherst evaluating a model of a payload's descent from the upper atmosphere. The balloon was under-inflated and travelled farther downrange than expected, descending off the coast of MA and then recovered days later on Plum Island, MA. Altitude was calculated in excess of 100,000ft.
