Lois Patricia Smith, age 91, of Carmel, Indiana, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2021, surrounded by her family.She was born on April 17, 1929, in Anderson, Indiana, to Walter and Anna (Salin) Johnson.She was their firstborn.She was raised in Anderson, where she graduated high school. She received a scholarship to attend nursing school at St. John’s Hospital in Anderson.There she was trained by the Sisters of the Holy Cross.She often spoke of the great quality of their training.
