Description: Summary of the Book of Jonah for Children

**Introduction:**
The Book of Jonah is a short book in the Old Testament that tells the story of a man named Jonah and a big adventure he had with God.

**God's Message to Jonah:**
God told Jonah to go to a city called Nineveh and tell the people there to stop doing bad things. But Jonah didn’t want to go, so he tried to run away from God.

**Jonah Runs Away:**
Jonah got on a ship going in the opposite direction. While he was on the ship, a big storm came, and the sailors were very scared. They found out that Jonah was running away from God, so Jonah told them to throw him into the sea to stop the storm.

**In the Big Fish:**
When Jonah was thrown into the sea, a big fish swallowed him! Jonah was in the belly of the fish for three days and three nights. Inside the fish, Jonah prayed to God and said he was sorry.

**Jonah Goes to Nineveh:**
God made the fish spit Jonah out onto dry land. This time, Jonah obeyed God and went to Nineveh. He told the people to stop doing bad things, and they listened! The people of Nineveh were sorry for their sins, and God forgave them.

**Jonah’s Lesson:**
Jonah was upset that God forgave the people of Nineveh. He didn’t understand why God was so kind to them. God taught Jonah that He loves everyone and wants everyone to turn away from their bad ways and do good.

**Conclusion:**
The story of Jonah teaches us that we should listen to God and obey Him. It also shows us that God is loving and forgiving, and He cares about all people.

###Children's Song: \
