Description: In June – July 2010, I spent a month in Japan as part of a residency to develop my art and film-making practice. nnFor one month I immersed myself in training to learn the art of Kyudo or Samurai Archery, to see how this process-focussed practice would impact upon my art practice and allow me to develop a more holistic and liberated approach to creating work.nnOver years of practice, this Eastern form of archery has the effect of stripping away the ego, and this was reflected in my participati
