Description: I designed and built my own straw bale home using the best green building techniques that I knew of. This video clip is an excerpt from the “Building With Awareness” documentary I made about the design and construction of the home. It shows the solar design aspectsand how windows were positioned to control the amount of solar energy that enters the home. Timelapse cinematography was used to show how sunlight enters the south facing windows in the winter and how this helps to heat the house
