Description: Discovering PLACE connects students with their surroundings by funding curriculum projects in Flint-area urban schools. With the support of Discovering PLACE, the Beecher High School trail, which was created by Dr. Don Hammond and his students, has become an outdoor classroom. nnA branch of the Great Lakes Stewardship Initiative, Discovering PLACE operates out of the University Outreach department of the University of Michigan-Flint.
