Description: Twenty-nine residents of Ruidoso, New Mexico are unaccounted for after devastating wildfires destroyed around 500 homes in the town last week. Two deaths have been confirmed from the fires so far, but search teams are still looking for the missing residents. The South Fork and Salt fires broke out on June 17th on the nearby Mescalero Apache Reservation before spreading into Ruidoso. As of June 24th, the South Fork Fire had burned over 17,500 acres and was 37% contained, while the Salt Fire burned nearly 8,000 acres and was 7% contained.
