Description: Global smartphone shipments grew 7.8% year-over-year to 289.4 million units in Q1 2024 according to preliminary IDC data. Samsung retook the top position with 20.8% market share, shipping 60.1 million smartphones in Q1 compared to Apple's 50.1 million units and 17.3% share.
