Description: In April 2020, at the height of the COVID-19 outbreak, Visit Faroe Islands created a new remote tourism tool, the first of its kind. nnVia a mobile, tablet or PC, virtual visitors could explore the Faroes’ rugged mountains, see close-up its cascading waterfalls and spot the traditional grass-roofed houses by interacting – live – with a local Faroese, who acted as their eyes, ears and body on a virtual exploratory tour.nnThe guides, who were all staff at Visit Faroe Islands, were equipped w
