Description: Ronald G. Shanks, age 79, of Evansville, IN, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at St. Vincent Hospital.nnRon was born February 3, 1944, in Evansville, IN, to Herbert R. Shanks and Elton M. (Cummings) Melton. He attended Bosse High School and graduated from Boone County High School in Florence, KY. Ron was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving in the 10th Special Forces Group – Airbourne Division in Cambodia and Germany during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Bricklayer’s Local #4.
