Description: This band was formed in Los Angeles in 1983 by singer Anthony Kiedis, guitarrist Hillel Slovak, bassist 'Flea' Michael Peter Balzary and drummer Jack Irons who were classmates at Fairfax High School. Slovak and Irons left the band soon later and were replaced by Cliff Martinez (drums) and Jack Sherman. They released their self-titled debut album in 1984.
