Description: Made-in-Soweto: S’khothane is the story of a Sowetan model, S’khothane (Poppy Xaba). Her story plays out in and extends the popular campaign and editorial conventions of fashion forms she’s used to as a professional model. It’s a narrative about fashion – both armament and ornament – that is embedded in S’khothane’s everyday experience of South Africa’s largest city, Soweto. S’khothane doesn’t simply acquire fashion; she imagines it as part of her life.nShe’s the muse of
